The Novelty Iris Society (NIS) is a special interest section of the American Iris Society dedicated to celebrating the unique and unusual in the iris world. Our mission is to promote and showcase novelty irises—extraordinary blooms from all classes and types that stand out for their form, color, or character.

For those who want to get more involved, becoming a member of the official NIS Section offers additional benefits. Members receive two newsletters per year and have the right to vote at the annual meeting. Membership dues support our programs and outreach efforts.
