Join the Novelty Iris Society
The Novelty Iris Society (NIS), a recognized section of the American Iris Society, was formed in 2014 by a group of passionate iris lovers drawn to the most unusual and striking varieties—space-age, broken color, variegated foliage, and more. The AIS officially accepted NIS as a section club in May 2015.
Our mission is to celebrate and promote novelty irises of all classes and types. Membership supports this mission and connects you with a like-minded community of growers, collectors, and hybridizers.
Membership Benefits
As a member of NIS, you’ll receive:
- Two issues per year of our e-newsletter, featuring articles on hybridizers, gardens, and novelty iris news.
- A printed newsletter by mail for members without an email address.
- The right to vote at our annual meeting, held during the American Iris Society’s national convention.
- The opportunity to support and shape the direction of novelty iris appreciation and cultivation.
